How It Works
CARRY WHAT YOU NEED ON YOUR BIKE
MTB straps are like visible storage, they are silent because accessories don't touch the frame but sit on pads, which act like cushions. If items do rattle, they may be loose or there could be some other problem.
The straps and pads are adaptable to different brands. So you can use your own multi-tools or pump without the need to get special or new ones. Plus the pads and strap are adjustable to match different shapes or brands. Some straps come in different lengths or sizes, this is to match the tube sizes on mountain bike and e-bike frames. This means you need to measure frame top or down tube size when purchasing.
If your bike is reliable you could ride with just a water bottle, but this is a little risky. Similarly riding with a backpack is a possibility. But now increasingly you have a third option - that of fixing things directly to your MTB frame on mounts or straps. So you carry enough to get you in and out of the mountain and you have the tools, or drinks or snacks to keep going and complete a good full ride.
Failures can occur if the pads are not working or the strap is too loose, then items will drop off and be lost. You can check how securely an item is held by pushing on it. If the item moves when pushed then its not secure, so tighten up the strap a bit more and recheck. Loose items will often shake about, before coming off completely, so you can remedy the problem before its too late.
As a result of wear and tear the pads or strap may work loose and require reinstallation. This is easily done with spares provided. 3M tape is used on the product to ensure longevity and weatherproof. If its not working correctly, it does not look or work right, recheck the installation.
